“Emma Raducanu Receives Surprise Gift and Offer After Porsche Revokes Dream Supercar”

Emma Raducanu has already received a new offer after reports surfaced that Porsche reclaimed one of her luxury cars. Romanian car manufacturer Dacia is stepping in, offering the 21-year-old tennis star a new vehicle and potentially a partnership as one of their ambassadors.

Recently, The Daily Mail reported that Raducanu no longer had the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet, a car worth approximately $165,000, in her garage. The luxury German automaker had reportedly taken it back. Raducanu had originally received the Porsche as part of a sponsorship deal following her historic 2021 US Open victory.

However, Raducanu’s tennis career hasn’t quite lived up to the meteoric expectations since her New York triumph, which may have led to Porsche distancing themselves from the young star. As a result, Dacia, a brand with sentimental value to Raducanu, seems keen to fill the gap. The Romanian automaker even sent her a personalized message, along with a new car offer, which they gift-wrapped.

Dacia’s playful note read: “Dear @EmmaRaducanu, whether it’s your forehand, backhand, or Sandero keys in-hand — you know a thing or two about reliability. So while some brands may (double) fault and let you down, you can always trust your Sandero. Here’s to many more miles.”

Interestingly, Raducanu already has a connection with Dacia. It was the first car she purchased after getting her driver’s license in 2020. She revealed in a 2021 interview with *The Sun* that she bought a second-hand white Dacia Sandero for £5,000. “My dad is Romanian, and a Dacia was his first car. So, yeah, I have a white Dacia Sandero,” she said. “I passed my test three days before the first lockdown, and we sort of knew it was coming, so we needed to buy a car ASAP. I’m never going to get rid of it.”

Following the news of Porsche’s decision, Raducanu was reportedly seen driving her Dacia once again. Whether she will accept Dacia’s offer and become an ambassador for the brand remains to be seen, but the connection between Raducanu and the Romanian manufacturer could make for a fitting partnership.

While Raducanu’s journey in tennis may have taken some unexpected turns, her story with Dacia shows that some things, like loyalty to her first car, remain steadfast.
