A man was arrested after allegedly appearing on the property of James’ Brentwood home, with the situation taking an even stranger turn when he reportedly made an extraordinary claim to police about his relationship with the NBA icon.
The incident happened on Friday night, November 6, while James was thousands of miles away competing for the 76ers against his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Thankfully, the reported security breach did not result in a confrontation with the basketball star.

Man Arrested After Appearing Outside LeBron James’ Home
According to reports, Los Angeles police officers were dispatched to James’ Brentwood residence at approximately 9:39 p.m. on Friday following a report of a possible burglary.
An LAPD spokesperson confirmed that officers responded to the property, where a suspect was apprehended and taken into custody.
The arrest followed an alert from private security personnel monitoring the residence. According to reports from TMZ, security cameras had captured a man on the property, prompting the security team to contact authorities.
What happened next made the situation particularly unusual.
The suspect reportedly told officers that he believed he was LeBron James’ son. The bizarre claim immediately added another layer to an already concerning incident involving one of basketball’s biggest superstars.
Police subsequently booked the man on suspicion of stalking.
His identity has not been publicly released, and authorities have not provided further details about his alleged motives.
Importantly, TMZ reported that the suspect did not manage to enter the residence. There is also no confirmation that he had any previous encounters with James or his family.

One particularly fortunate aspect of the incident was that James was nowhere near his Los Angeles property when the suspect was apprehended.
The 41-year-old was in Cleveland, Ohio, representing the Philadelphia 76ers against the Cavaliers.
